On Tuesday 16th February, Charles & Ron showed their new collection during New York Fashion Week.
The show was part of the Art Hearts Fashion Week and was held at the Neo Gothic NYC landmark the Angel Orensanz Foundation.
The venue was a favourite with the late Alexander Lee Mc Queen and also the wedding venue of Sarah Jessica Parker.
The Charles & Ron collection has once again been picked up by international colour company Pantone. The designers are featured in the Pantone Colour Trend Forecast for Fall 2016 and leading trend websites like Refinery29 already featured some of the C&R designs and also quoted the designers on the colours used for Fall 16.
The vibrant collection is inspired by ecclesial colour schemes and by the traditional decorative lights seen on a Maltese Basilica facade during Mediterranean village feasts.
Cardinal Pink, Warm Red, and Saffron Yellow are mixed together in a contemporary colour block pattern and the signature colour Cardinal Pink,is also combined with Rich Classic Camel and highlighted with black which remains a staple in the Charles & Ron collections.
Silk satin dresses and fine wool capes in super feminine cuts are paired with Charles & Ron hand crafted leather bags.
The new bag designs are based on the bag style that Charles & Ron had the honour to design as a gift to HRH Queen Elizabeth II last year.
The style was re-worked and made in the finest Italian leather in Fall/Winter 16/17 colours.
The models wore Manolo Blahnik shoes for the C&R runway show.
